Your life needs peace and quiet

December 13, 2021

This picture was taken outside my door at “sunrise” on the Shediac River. Where do you go to get that “peace and quiet” that you need from time-to-time? Do you sit near a river, the ocean, or a lake? Do you sit in sunrises or in sunsets? Do you sit in a park on a bench to gather your thoughts? How do you get the cobwebs from your mind’s eye so you can think clearly? It’s important that you find “your place” where this can be done. It’s also important to “ground” yourself there. Be consistent! Be often!

Life being what it is, it does get in the way of living but learning to prioritize each day will help give you access to those moments where you can clear your head and gather your thoughts. Though it is illusive, “peace and quiet” is indeed a commodity that we all desire. Learning to prioritize “it”, is certainly a skill needed in today’s fast-paced world.

Daily decisions should always be met and made with a clear mindset. Do this for yourself. Find ways to cope with “life and living”! The better we become at “embracing” this needed “peace and quiet”, the more successful we become and the better our decisions will be. Have you ever made a decision in haste when your mind was clouded? Emotional? Unclear? I’m sure you have! We all have! The question is “have you figured out how to calm your mind? Give it the peace and quiet it needs to make stable informed unemotional decisions? Each of us need to figure out what “works” for us in this way. It just takes time!
